Puri, March 8: Elaborate security and traffic arrangements have been made for the visit of Chief Minister of Odisha, Mohan Charan Majhi, to Puri on Sunday.
Considering the Z+ security category of the Chief Minister, comprehensive security arrangements have been put in place. The carcade will be supported by advance pilot, escort vehicles, ambulance, fire brigade and tail car. Close Protection Teams and plain-clothes personnel will be deployed at the venue and along the route. Anti-sabotage checks with sniffer dog squads and metal detector screening will be conducted at the venue and other sensitive locations.
While reviewing the security arrangements ahead of the CM’s visit, IGP, Central Range Dr. Satyajit Naik said, strict access control measures, barricading and sector-wise crowd management have been arranged at the Talabania Ground. Adequate police personnel are deployed for traffic regulation, route lining, parking management and crowd control in and around the venue.
Apart from configuration of armed forces & civil intelligence wings along the Bhubaneswar-Puri route ,the public is requested to cooperate with the police, follow traffic advisories and use designated parking areas to ensure smooth conduct of the programme.
Worth mentioning, the Chief Minister will attend the Subhadra Shakti Mela and International Women’s Day–2026 programme at Talabania Ground at 11 AM, where the 4th installment of the Subhadra scheme will be disbursed to beneficiaries.
