The festive season is around the corner, and that means, millions of Indians will be packing their bags and heading home to celebrate with their loved ones. To ensure everyone has a smooth and comfortable journey, Indian Railways is pulling out all the stops.

A whopping 12,500 additional coaches will be added to trains across the country, making sure there's plenty of room for everyone. Plus, 108 regular trains are getting a boost with extra general coaches, so even more people can join in the festive fun.

The Indian Railways has also planned a whopping 5,975 special trains just for this festive season. That's almost 1,500 more than last year. This means over 1 crore passengers can look forward to hassle-free travel to their hometowns for Chhath Puja, Diwali, and other celebrations.

Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw shared the exciting news, highlighting the Railways' commitment to making your festive journeys as enjoyable as possible. He also took a moment to celebrate the "Make in India" spirit, showcasing the indigenously manufactured Vande Bharat trains and their various versions, including the upcoming sleeper coaches and Namo Bharat trains. This festive season, leave your travel worries behind as Indian Railways is here to take care.
