New Delhi, July 23:The Ministry of Railways on Wednesday sanctioned Rs 149.32 crore for constructing a fourth line between Ranital Link Cabin and Bhadrak station.
The upcoming project is a part of the Howrah–Chennai High-Density Network (HDN).
The 4th line project will help decongest the busy freight and passenger corridor on the route.
According to a statement from the East Coast Railway (ECoR), the sanctioned 4th line project will help separate port-bound freight trains headed to Dhamra and Paradip from the mainline.
It will also enhance the speed, punctuality, and reliability of passenger, mail, and express train operations along the Howrah–Chennai trunk route, the statement added.
