The Indian Air Force (IAF) has announced an official recruitment rally inviting unmarried Indian male and female candidates from all districts of every state and union territory to join as Agniveervayu (Musician). Interested candidates can apply through the official website at https://agnipathvayu.cdac.in starting from May 22 until June 5, 2024. The recruitment rally is scheduled to take place between July 3 and July 12, 2024.

Educational qualification:
Candidates must have passed Class 10th or its equivalent from a recognized university or institution. Additionally, proficiency in various musical aspects such as tempo, pitch accuracy, and the ability to sing complete songs is required. Competence in interpreting different musical notations like Staff notation, Tablature, Tonic Solfa, Hindustani, or Carnatic is necessary. Proficiency in playing at least one instrument from List A or List B is essential, with a preference for proficiency in two instruments, one from each list. Relevant musical experience demonstrated through certifications such as Grade 5th or above from recognized music institutes, diplomas in Hindustani or Carnatic Classical Music, or certificates of participation/awards in events, showcasing skills with blowing instruments and staff notation proficiency, is also required.
Age limit:
Candidates born between January 2, 2004, and July 2, 2007, are eligible to participate.
Medical standards:
For male candidates:
Minimum height: 162 cms
Chest: Well proportioned with a minimum circumference of 77 cms and chest expansion of at least 5 cms
For female candidates:
Minimum height: 152 cms (147 cms for candidates from North East or hilly regions of Uttarakhand, and 150 cms for candidates from Lakshadweep)
Chest: Well proportioned with a minimum range of expansion of 5 cms
Weight: Proportionate to height and age as applicable for IAF.
Other medical standards:
Normal hearing, able to hear forced whisper from a distance of 6 meters by each ear separately.
Healthy gums, good set of teeth, and a minimum of 14 dental points.
Visual standards: 6/12 each eye, correctable to 6/6 each eye.
