Ladakh, Feb 10: President Droupadi Murmu warmly welcomed a group of specially-abled children from Ladakh at Rashtrapati Bhavan. This visit was part of the National Integration Tour, a program aimed at fostering cultural exchange and promoting inclusivity among children from diverse regions of India.

The official Rashtrapati Bhavan social media handle shared images of the interaction, noting: "A group of specially-abled children from Ladakh called on President Droupadi Murmu at Rashtrapati Bhavan. The group visited Rashtrapati Bhavan as part of the National Integration Tour."

The National Integration Tour initiative is designed to be an educational and motivational experience for youth from Jammu & Kashmir and the North Eastern States. It aims to introduce these students to India’s rich heritage while showcasing the country’s development initiatives and industries. The program also provides students with the opportunity to explore various career options and interact with prominent figures.

This initiative, supported by the Indian Army, underscores its commitment to the holistic development of youth in remote and border areas. By providing exposure to different aspects of India's growth, the Army is contributing to nation-building and strengthening civil-military relations.

Through this initiative, the students gain a broader perspective on India's technological and educational advancements, while reinforcing their emotional connection to the nation. Many participants expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the Indian Army, describing the experience as an enlightening and motivational journey.

In March of last year, President Murmu had similarly met students from various Eklavya Model Residential Schools of Jammu and Kashmir, who were also part of the National Integration Tour, further reinforcing the importance of such initiatives for national unity and youth empowerment.
