India, Russia and China are key to restraining "US warmongering" as Islamabad peace talks collapse: Iranian envoy

Mumbai, April 12: Iran's Consul General in Mumbai, Saeid Reza Mosayeb Motlagh, praised India, China, and Russia for their efforts in promoting regional peace, especially as tensions rise globally. He emphasized that these nations have avoided military intervention, contrary to US actions, seeking to stabilize markets and pursue peace. The envoy criticized the lack of reciprocity from Washington and urged these countries to pressure the US and Israel to cease warmongering.

Motlagh also expressed concern over the normalisation of violence, particularly by the US and Israel, and their breach of international norms. He condemned the double standards regarding nuclear capabilities, pointing out the hypocrisy of nuclear-armed nations exerting pressure on others while engaging in hostilities themselves.

Regarding the stalled peace talks in Pakistan, Motlagh noted the failure to uphold agreements, with ceasefire negotiations reaching a deadlock. Iran’s spokesperson Esmaeil Baqaei reiterated Iran's commitment to securing its interests, placing the onus for progress on the US, which has failed to recognize Iran’s legitimate rights.
