
Patna, Sept 7: The Indian Men’s Hockey Team clinched the Asia Cup 2025 title after defeating defending champions Korea 4-1 in the final at Rajgir Hockey Stadium.
This marks India’s first Asia Cup triumph in eight years.
With the victory, the Harmanpreet Singh-led side also booked their berth in the FIH Hockey World Cup 2026.
Goals came from Sukhjeet Singh (Q1), Dilpreet Singh (twice in Q3 & Q4), and Amit (Q4). Earlier, India stormed into the final with a dominant 7-0 win over China, showcasing complete control and clinical finishing.
India last won the Hockey World Cup in 1975 and will now aim to recreate that glory on the global stage.
