Champua, May 13: A tragic accident claimed the life of a young man while he was returning home from a wedding feast.

The deceased has been identified as Gyanaranjan Mohanta from Krishnapur village under Champua police jurisdiction.

According to reports, Gyanaranjan Mohanta was riding his bike home last night after attending a wedding feast when an unknown vehicle struck him near Porshala on NH-20. He sustained serious injuries in the collision.

Local residents immediately rushed him to Champua Medical, but unfortunately, he succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment.

Following the incident, Champua police have registered a case and initiated an investigation into the accident.
