Cuttack, July 4: A woman Inspector-in-Charge (IIC) was found dead under suspicious circumstances at her official quarters in Cuttack on Saturday. The body of Chauliaganj Police Station IIC, Beauty Mohanty, was recovered from her quarters, where she was found hanging.

Police have sent the body for post-mortem examination to ascertain the exact cause of death. While the circumstances surrounding the incident remain unclear, an investigation has been initiated.

The incident has sparked concern in the area, with investigators examining all possible angles, including whether the death was a case of suicide or foul play. Officials said the exact circumstances leading to the IIC's death will be established only after the post-mortem report and completion of the investigation.
