Kuarmunda, Ap 6: In a tragic accident late Sunday night, two people lost their lives after a speeding car lost control and rammed into a roadside dhaba on National Highway 143 near Jamuna Nagar in the Kuarmunda area, under Birmitrapur police jurisdiction.

Reports indicate that a Creta car, traveling at high speed from the Birmitrapur side, veered off the road and crashed into Sonu Dhaba. The collision caused extensive damage to the eatery, leaving three passengers in the car critically injured.

Local residents quickly transported the injured to Rourkela Government Hospital, where two were declared dead on arrival. The third individual is receiving treatment in critical condition.

Police reached the scene soon after and have launched an investigation to determine the exact cause of the accident.
