Cuttack, March 31: In a tragic road accident, two persons lost their lives following a head-on collision between a Tata Magic and a scooter near Taladanda Canal Road under Chauliaganj area late at night.

According to reports, the mishap occurred when the two vehicles collided head-on, resulting in the death of a 13-year-old girl and a 22-year-old youth.

On being informed, police and ambulance personnel rushed to the spot and shifted the victims to a nearby hospital, where doctors declared them dead.

The incident triggered tension in the area, with locals staging a brief disruption that led to traffic congestion on the route. Police intervened, brought the situation under control, and took necessary steps to restore normal vehicular movement.
