Cuttack, Dec 24:The Orissa High Court has declared its winter vacation, starting December 25, with today marking the final working day for regular court sessions. The court will resume full operations on Monday, January 5, 2026.
In an official notification released today, the court also announced January 2, 2026 (Thursday), as a special holiday. To compensate for this, the court will hold sessions on Saturday, March 7, 2026.
A vacation bench will be in operation on December 30, 2025. The bench, consisting of Justice Sabitri Rath and Justice M.S. Raman, will hear various cases. Additionally, Justice Savitri Rath, Justice Aditya Kumar Mohapatra, and Justice M.S. Raman will sit on separate single benches to address pending matters.
The court’s administrative office will remain open from December 26 to 31, 2025, operating between 11:00 am and 3:00 pm. The computer filing counter for new cases will be available on working days from 11:00 am to 12:00 noon.
For urgent cases, lawyers may submit mention memos to the Deputy Registrar (Judicial) office between 11:00 am and 12:00 noon on December 29, 2025. These arrangements ensure that urgent judicial matters continue to be addressed during the holiday period.
