Bhawanipatna, Dec 22: A retired ANM supervisor was found murdered in a suspected robbery incident at Gadiajor village under Dharamgarh police station in Kalahandi district on Tuesday. The incident has sent shockwaves through the local area.

The deceased has been identified as Suchitra Khuntia, a retired ANM supervisor, who was living alone at her residence. According to preliminary information, unidentified miscreants allegedly broke into her house, carried out a robbery, and later murdered her.

Local residents noticed the body lying in front of the house early in the morning and immediately alerted the police. Dharamgarh police rushed to the spot, recovered the body, and sent it for post-mortem examination.

Sources said the deceased’s husband and son are currently staying outside the village. As of now, police have not been able to ascertain who is behind the crime. The exact cause of death will be confirmed after the post-mortem report and initial investigation findings.

Police have launched a detailed investigation and are examining the case from multiple angles to identify and apprehend the culprits.
