Mumbai, May 11: The makers of the much-anticipated Tamil film Karuppu, starring Suriya, released the official trailer on Sunday evening, giving fans a first look at the actor in a high-octane action-packed avatar.

The trailer promises a gripping mix of intense action, courtroom drama, and emotional storytelling. It opens with an elderly man and his granddaughter struggling through years of unresolved legal battles. Trisha Krishnan, playing lawyer Preethi, steps in to fight for their justice but faces strong opposition from RJ Balaji’s character, who appears determined to thwart their efforts.

As the conflict escalates, Suriya’s character emerges as a fearless force, confronting adversaries both inside and outside the courtroom. The trailer is packed with high-energy action sequences, gripping confrontations, and powerful dialogues, highlighting Suriya’s commanding presence.

Alongside Suriya and Trisha, the film features Indrans, Natty, Swasika, Sshivada, Anagha Maya Ravi, and Supreeth Reddy in key roles. Karuppu is written and directed by RJB, with music composed by Sai Abhyankkar.

The makers also revealed the film’s release date, set for May 14, and previously shared a teaser on Suriya’s birthday showcasing stunt sequences choreographed by Anbariv.
