New Delhi, July 23: A group of Supreme Court lawyers on Wednesday recited the Constitution's Preamble at the apex court under the "Save Democracy, Save Constitution" campaign, expressing solidarity with students protesting over the alleged NEET paper leak.

Former Judge of the Delhi High Court and Senior advocates S. Muralidhar, Abhay Singh and Indira Jaising condemned alleged police action against protesters and pledged legal support to ensure justice.

"We are standing with all the students who are protesting for their rights, and we want justice for all of them," S. Muralidhar said.

The protests, led by the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) and allied groups, continue as key demands include Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan's resignation, ₹1 crore compensation for families of students who died by suicide allegedly linked to the paper leak, and withdrawal of FIRs against peaceful protesters. CJP said the agitation will continue until these demands are met.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced the establishment of fast-track courts for paper leak cases, stating that those responsible for harming students' futures would face swift and strict punishment.
