Bhubaneswar, Jul 10: The fifth installment of the Odisha Government’s Subhadra Yojana is expected to be released in August 2026, coinciding with the Raksha Bandhan festival.
The previous, fourth installment of ₹5,000 was credited to the bank accounts of more than one crore women beneficiaries on March 8, 2026, marking International Women’s Day. Under the scheme, eligible women receive financial assistance of ₹10,000 annually in two equal installments of ₹5,000 through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) into Aadhaar-linked bank accounts.
To receive the upcoming installment without delays, beneficiaries have been urged to complete all mandatory verification procedures. The government has made face authentication-based e-KYC compulsory for the 2026 installments. Women whose e-KYC remains incomplete may face delays in receiving the financial assistance. Beneficiaries can complete the verification process through the official Subhadra portal or at designated facilitation centres.
Authorities have also emphasized the importance of Aadhaar seeding and NPCI mapping of bank accounts. Since the scheme operates through the DBT system, payments can only be credited to active, Aadhaar-linked, and DBT-enabled bank accounts. Beneficiaries are advised to verify these details with their respective banks to avoid transaction failures.
Eligible beneficiaries under the Subhadra Yojana include women aged between 21 and 60 years who are permanent residents of Odisha and belong to families with an annual income of up to ₹2.5 lakh. Applicants holding National Food Security Act (NFSA) or State Food Security Scheme (SFSS) ration cards are considered eligible. Government employees, income tax payers, and women receiving more than ₹1,500 per month under other government welfare schemes are excluded from the scheme.
Beneficiaries can check their application and payment status by visiting the official Subhadra Yojana portal and logging in with their Aadhaar number or 16-digit Application Reference Number. The portal displays the status as Pending, Approved, or Rejected. Those facing prolonged delays have been advised to contact the scheme’s helpline or the concerned authorities.
Meanwhile, the Odisha Government continues to review cases of women who were left out of the fourth installment due to pending verification or newly submitted applications. District-level verification of such cases is underway, and eligible applicants are expected to receive benefits once the verification process is completed.
