Hyundai's latest blacked-out SUV variant combines stealthy aesthetics with safety.
Hyundai Motor India expanded its popular compact SUV lineup today by launching the 2026 Venue Knight Edition, starting at a competitive price of Rs 9.69 lakh (ex-showroom). This new variant caters to buyers seeking a distinct, aggressive road presence through a "black-out" design philosophy. Unlike the standard model, this edition swaps chrome for matte black finishes on the radiator grille, skid plates, and roof rails.
Stealth Aesthetics and Cabin Upgrades
Visual changes define this release, featuring 16-inch black alloy wheels complemented by striking red brake calipers. Inside, the transformation continues with an all-black color palette replacing the traditional dual-tone theme. Designers added brass-colored inserts on the steering wheel, AC vents, and gear knob to provide a premium contrast. The seats now feature exclusive black leatherette upholstery with brass stitching, elevating the interior feel beyond the standard trim.
New Safety Technology Included
Safety receives a significant boost with the introduction of a dual-camera dashcam on the HX6T, HX10, and N10 trims. This device supports multiple recording modes, including emergency and vacation tracking, allowing owners to download footage directly to their smartphones. This addition complements the existing SmartSense Level 2 ADAS suite, which includes 16 autonomous features like lane-keep assist and forward collision warning.
Engine Performance and Transmission
Powertrain options remain versatile to suit various driving styles. Buyers can select the 1.2-litre Kappa petrol engine for city commuting, the 1.0-litre Turbo GDi for spirited driving, or the 1.5-litre CRDi diesel for long-distance efficiency.Gearbox choices are equally diverse, spanning from manual transmissions to the sophisticated Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT).
Information Gain: Regional Impact
In Odisha, where the demand for compact SUVs has surged by nearly 15% in the last fiscal year, the Venue Knight Edition is expected to attract young professionals in cities like Bhubaneswar and Cuttack who prioritize style without sacrificing ruggedness for coastal road conditions.
