Puri, Jul 10: In a major step to enhance the pilgrimage experience and strengthen crowd management during the upcoming Rath Yatra, the Puri district administration has introduced a special QR code that offers a comprehensive package of digital services for devotees and visitors.

By simply scanning the QR code, pilgrims can access complete day-wise information about the Rath Yatra, including the schedule of rituals, major events, and procession route maps.

The digital platform also provides the locations of essential public amenities such as drinking water points, ATMs, petrol pumps, hospitals, railway stations, emergency medical units, parking areas, public toilets, and the nearest Police Assistance Posts.

To improve public safety, the portal includes features that allow visitors to lodge complaints, report or search for missing children and lost belongings, and access emergency helpline numbers. Information on bus stands, shuttle services, and other transport facilities will also be available through the platform.

The initiative has been launched with the objective of ensuring seamless crowd management, improving public convenience, and enhancing the safety and overall experience of lakhs of devotees expected to visit Puri for the annual Rath Yatra festivities.
