Ram Navami: Darshan at Jagannath Temple to remain closed for 5 hours

Puri, March 27: On the occasion of Ram Navami, the Sri Ram Janma Niti will be observed at the Jagannath Temple following the traditional customs of the temple.

According to temple administration, special rituals will be conducted as per established Badadeula traditions. Informing this, Public Relations Officer Jitendra Kumar Mohanty said that darshan of the deities is likely to remain suspended for nearly five hours.

The ritual of Lord Rama’s birth will be performed after the Madhyahna Dhupa. During this period, devotees will be restricted from having darshan of Lord Jagannath from 5 PM to 10 PM.

However, officials clarified that the exact duration of darshan suspension will be finalised based on the day’s rituals, and necessary updates will be communicated accordingly.
