Patna, August 31: The nationwide Congress outreach in Bihar will conclude with its grand finale on Monday, as Rahul Gandhi, along with RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav and other Mahagathbandhan allies, wraps up the 16-day-long Voter Adhikar Yatra with a roadshow and public rally in Patna.
The campaign, which began over two weeks ago, has traversed nearly 1,300 kilometers across 25 districts, covering more than 110 assembly constituencies. Positioned as a curtain-raiser to the upcoming assembly elections, the Yatra has sought to galvanize opposition forces while spotlighting issues of electoral integrity.
Throughout the journey, Gandhi, Yadav, CPI-ML general secretary Dipankar Bhattacharya, and Vikassheel Insan Party leader Mukesh Sahani shared the stage—often traveling together in an open jeep to project opposition unity.
Echoing the central theme of the march, the slogan “Vote Chor, Gaddi Chhor” resonated in towns and villages across Bihar. Leaders repeatedly alleged that the Election Commission, in collusion with the BJP, was attempting to manipulate the electoral rolls through the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) process.
With the concluding roadshow in Patna, the opposition alliance aims to consolidate momentum and sharpen its attack on the ruling BJP ahead of the high-stakes state elections.
