Bhubaneswar, August 2: President Droupadi Murmu will embark on a three-day visit to Odisha from August 3 to August 5, during which she is scheduled to attend official events and visit prominent religious sites in Cuttack and Ganjam districts.

The President's visit will begin on August 3 with the inauguration of Jagadguru Kripalu University in Cuttack. The newly established university is expected to promote excellence in higher education and research while imparting value-based learning inspired by the teachings of Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj. The inaugural ceremony is likely to be attended by senior dignitaries, public representatives, academicians, and devotees.

On August 4, President Murmu will undertake a train journey from Bhubaneswar to Berhampur, highlighting the significance of India's railway network and promoting sustainable public transportation. During her stay in Ganjam district, she will visit the revered Maa Kandhuni Devi Temple, where she will offer prayers and seek blessings.

Later, the President will proceed to the renowned Shiva Temple at Taptapani, a famous pilgrimage destination known for its sacred hot water springs and religious importance. She will participate in the traditional ceremonial Aarti and offer prayers for the peace, prosperity, and well-being of the people.

Security arrangements have been intensified across the President's travel route and venues. Senior officials from the state administration, police, and other agencies are coordinating closely to ensure smooth conduct of the visit, with elaborate arrangements made for public safety, traffic management, and protocol.

President Murmu's visit is expected to draw significant public attention, particularly in Cuttack and Ganjam, where preparations have been completed to welcome the country's First Citizen.
