Rourkela, Ap 6: The district administration of Rourkela has begun preparations for the visit of President Draupadi Murmu. During her visit, the President is expected to inaugurate the Tribal Museum located near Hockey Chowk. However, the exact date of her arrival has not yet been confirmed.

Under the Rourkela Smart City initiative, approximately ₹100 crore is being invested in the Rourkela One project near Hockey Chowk. The project includes the Tribal Museum, an Integrated Command Control Center (ICCC), and an auditorium. While the ICCC has already become operational, the Tribal Museum is awaiting inauguration.

Once inaugurated, the museum will be shifted to the state’s Scheduled Tribes and Scheduled Castes Department.
