Balasore, July 22: A tragic road accident claimed the life of Pradeep Kumar Pradhan, an employee of the Prameya News7 Balasore office. The incident has sent shockwaves among his colleagues and the local media fraternity.

According to reports, Pradeep was returning home after completing his duty when the accident occurred. While waiting at a red traffic signal near ITI Square in Balasore, a speeding vehicle allegedly hit his vehicle from behind, leaving him critically injured.

Locals rushed to the spot and, with their help, Pradeep was taken to the Balasore District Headquarters Hospital in an ambulance. During treatment, he spoke to his wife over the phone for the last time and informed her about the accident and the severe pain he was suffering.

Soon after receiving the information, his colleagues reached the hospital. As his condition deteriorated, doctors referred him to Bhubaneswar for advanced treatment. However, he was declared dead after reaching Bhubaneswar.

Pradeep was the only earning member of his family. He had lost his father two years ago and his mother a few months back. He is survived by his wife and their two-month-old son.
