Angul, June 22: Prameya and News7 jointly organised the "Pratibha Samman" award ceremony in Angul to recognise and honour individuals who have excelled in various fields. The initiative reflects the media group's commitment to identifying talented personalities and celebrating their contributions to society.

The event brought together achievers from Angul and Dhenkanal districts, where 20 distinguished individuals were felicitated for their outstanding accomplishments in diverse sectors. The awardees were honoured with certificates, mementoes and floral bouquets in recognition of their achievements.

This was the first time that Prameya and News7 hosted the Pratibha Samman programme in Angul. The ceremony was attended by Prameya News7 CEO Sunil Kumar Das, Director Himanshu Hota, Group Editor Gopal Krishna Mahapatra and News7 Editor Debanarayan Seth, who personally felicitated the award recipients.

Speaking on the occasion, the organisers highlighted the importance of recognising talent and encouraging individuals who contribute significantly to society through their work and achievements.

The programme was graced by Dhenkanal MP Rudra Narayan Pany as the chief guest. Chairman of the District Planning Board Ashok Mohanty, along with the MLAs of Talcher, Angul and Chhendipada, were also present at the event. The dignitaries lauded the Pratibha Samman initiative, describing it as a meaningful platform for encouraging excellence and social contribution.

Among those honoured were noted litterateur Prabasini Mahakud and matriculation topper Adyasha Acharya. The award recipients expressed happiness over the recognition and said such honours would inspire them to continue working for society with greater dedication.

Officials of Prameya and News7 announced that the programme would be expanded in the future to honour talented individuals from other districts of Odisha as well.
