Kolkata, May 6: Suvendu Adhikari’s PA (Personal Assistant), Chandra, was shot dead this evening in post-poll violence in West Bengal.
According to reports, Chandra was targeted from point-blank range near Madhyagram. Unidentified bike-borne assailants fired at least three shots aiming at Chandra that hit his head, chest, and leg.
The gruesome incident came after Suvendu Adhikari, earlier in the day, made a statement on the post-poll violence in West Bengal underlining that no major violence took place after the poll that was almost peaceful.
Accoring to report, Chandra collapased on the spot after a number of bullets reportedly hit his forehead.
Police seized the body and initiated a thorough investigation to reach at the miscreants. Tension erupted in the area with the assassination of the prominent BJP leader’s confidant.
