Bhubaneswar, Aug 4: The Odisha Staff Selection Commission (OSSC) has released the detailed schedule for the Main Written Examination of the Combined Post Graduate Level Recruitment Examination (CPGLRE)-2025 for Specialist Posts and Services. The Computer-Based Recruitment Examination (CBRE) will be conducted on August 10 and August 11, 2026, at examination centres in Bhubaneswar.

The examination is being held in accordance with Advertisement No. 5915/OSSC dated December 30, 2025, and follows the Commission's earlier notification issued on July 4, 2026. The recruitment test will be conducted in multiple shifts for various specialist posts, including Teacher Educators, Art Education Instructors and Physical Education Instructors.

On August 10, the first shift (10:00 am to 12:00 noon) will include Technical Paper-I for Teacher Educators in Foundation Course, Science, History, Geography, Economics, Political Science, Mathematics, Odia and English. Separate technical papers for Art Education Instructor and Physical Education Instructor will also be held during the same session.

The second shift (3:00 pm to 5:00 pm) on August 10 will be conducted for Technical Paper-II of Teacher Educators in Political Science, English, Mathematics, Geography and History.

On August 11, the morning session (10:00 am to 12:00 noon) will be held for Technical Paper-II (Foundation Course), while the afternoon session (3:00 pm to 5:00 pm) will cover Teacher Educators in Science, Odia and Economics.

Candidates have been instructed to report by 8:00 am for the morning session and 1:00 pm for the afternoon session. Entry gates will close at 9:30 am and 2:30 pm, respectively. No candidate will be allowed to enter the examination centre after the gates are closed.

According to the Commission, technical papers carrying 100 marks will comprise 100 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) of one mark each, with a negative marking of 0.25 marks for every incorrect answer. For Art Education Instructor and Physical Education Instructor posts, the examination will carry 200 marks, consisting of 100 MCQs worth two marks each, with 0.5 marks deducted for every wrong response.

The OSSC has also announced that admit cards will be available for download from the official website from August 4, 2026, using candidates' login credentials. Applicants have been advised to regularly check the Commission's website for updates regarding the recruitment process.

The Commission further stated that Persons with Disabilities (PwD) will be provided 20 minutes of compensatory time for every hour of examination. Candidates appearing for the Art Education Instructor examination must also select one special subject based on their academic qualification from options including Visual Art, Performing Art (Dance), Performing Art (Odissi and Hindustani Music), and Performing Art (Drama) while appearing for the examination.
