Dry weather persists as night temperatures remain stable statewide

Residents across the state can expect consistent atmospheric conditions as the Regional Meteorological Centre in Bhubaneswar predicts dry weather to prevail over all districts for the coming week. According to the latest bulletin released on February 12, 2026, meteorologists forecast no large change in minimum temperatures (night temperatures) over the next six to seven days.

Winter chills are still making their presence felt in the interiors and hill stations. G. Udayagiri recorded the lowest minimum temperature in the hill station category, dropping to a chilling 6.6 degrees Celsius. In the plains of Odisha, Phulbani reported the lowest minimum at 9.5 degrees Celsius.

Contrastingly, western Odisha is beginning to feel the heat. Jharsuguda registered the highest maximum temperature in the state at 33.6 degrees Celsius. In the twin cities, Bhubaneswar recorded a maximum of 32.7 degrees Celsius and a minimum of 16.5 degrees Celsius, while Cuttack remained slightly cooler with a maximum of 29.4 degrees and a minimum of 15.4 degrees.

While the overall forecast indicates dry conditions valid up to the morning of February 19, shallow fog was observed in Chandbali, where visibility ranged between 500 to 1000 meters. The weather department has issued "No Warning" for the next seven days, signaling a week of stable and predictable weather patterns for the region.
