Bhubaneswar, May 9: In a bid to tackle the rising incidents of cybercrime, the Odisha government has announced the establishment of five dedicated cyber courts across the state to ensure speedy trials.
Law Minister Prithviraj Harichandan outlined that these specialized courts are designed to provide swift justice to victims of digital offences. He also stressed that stringent action will be taken against cyber criminals.
Judges assigned to these courts will have expertise in cyber laws and technology, equipping them to effectively handle and interpret complex digital evidence.
Alongside this initiative, the government plans to set up seven special courts for women, aiming to address cases of crimes against women more efficiently.
