Puri, July 18: While Rath Yatra 2026 in Odisha’s shrine City Puri was commenced almost with no major incidents, the Odisha Police yet stands up to manage the crowd at the Adapa Mandapa here and stay prepared to meticulously manage the Bahuda Yatra ahead.
For seamless Adapa darshan of the deities, Police, Fire Services wings and civil defense contingents stand prepared in and around the Shrigundicha Temple for effective crowd management and in-time assistance of the devotees.
At the same time, top cops and intelligence officials are at work to inspect grass root-level situations near the chariots, parked before the Shrigundicha Temple, boarding the deities for universal darshan.
In view of the harrowing incident that took place on the Grand Raod on the Rath Yatra, IGP Central Range Dr Satyajit Naik along with senior police officers, conducted early morning patrol and reviewed security and crowd management arrangements around the Gundicha Temple, ensuring every devotee experiences a safe, secured darshan during their visit.
Meanwhile, Dr. Naik minutely reviewed the security arrangements and other details regarding the crowd management roadmaps, as the Adapa Darshan of Lord Jagannath is expected to pull tens of thousands of visitors to the shrine.
