Bhubaneswar/Hyderabad, March 25: A media delegation from Odisha, currently on a Telangana tour organised by PIB Bhubaneswar, visited the Press Information Bureau (PIB) office in Hyderabad on Tuesday.
The visit aims to provide journalists with first-hand exposure to the implementation of various Central government schemes and to understand the functioning of key developmental projects and institutions.
Addressing the delegation, PIB Hyderabad Additional Director General Shruti Patil highlighted the importance of such press tours in bridging the gap between government policies and public awareness. She said field visits enable journalists to gain direct insights, helping them produce more factual and impactful reports.
She further stated that the Government of India is focusing on skill development and capacity building to ensure inclusive growth across states. Noting the presence of a large Odia workforce in Telangana, she said it has strengthened social and cultural ties between the two regions.
Patil also encouraged journalists to present stories from diverse perspectives, with a focus on developmental issues, human interest angles, and grassroots realities. She expressed confidence that such exposure visits would enhance the professional skills of journalists and open new avenues in the field of journalism.
