Bhubaneswar/ New Delhi, March 23: Odisha Governor Haribabu Kambhampati met Union Home Minister Amit Shah in New Delhi on Monday, discussing key issues related to Odisha’s development. Kambhampati emphasized the central government’s role in fostering growth in the state, highlighting successful cooperation between both governments.
Earlier, Shah visited Odisha, where he inaugurated the Sulphuric Acid Plant 3 (SAP-III) at IFFCO’s Paradeep unit and received a Lord Jagannath portrait from devotee Annata Biswal. Shah stressed the economic empowerment of women, especially from tribal and OBC communities, and underscored the importance of the new initiative in boosting India's fertilizer self-sufficiency.
Drawing comparisons to Gujarat’s success with Amul, Shah expressed his vision to replicate the model in Odisha, empowering local women through dairy cooperatives. He announced that both governments would collaborate to introduce dairy cooperatives in every Odisha village.
Shah, marking his first public visit to Odisha post-2024 elections, thanked the people for their support to the BJP and reaffirmed the government's commitment to eradicating Naxalism by 2026. He praised the role of CISF personnel in this mission, particularly in states like Odisha, Chhattisgarh, and Telangana.
