Bhubaneswar, April 2: Odisha's Deputy Chief Minister, Pravati Parida, reaffirmed the state's commitment to upgrading Anganwadi infrastructure with the goal of creating "Sundar, Sakhyam, Sudrudha" centres. This initiative focuses on improving early childhood care, nutrition, and pre-school education.
Parida virtually inaugurated 1,889 new Anganwadi Centres (AWCs) across Odisha’s 30 districts. The event was attended by Minister Rabi Narayan Naik, who praised the initiative.
The Deputy Chief Minister emphasized the government’s focus on providing high-quality, inclusive infrastructure for women and children. She highlighted the vision behind "Sundar, Sakhyam, Sudrudha," which aims to improve services and ensure overall development.
Minister Naik stressed the importance of children currently attending Anganwadi centres in shaping Odisha’s future. The project’s success was attributed to effective coordination between the Women and Child Development, and Panchayati Raj and Drinking Water Departments.
