Mumbai, Ap 4: The Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre (NMACC) marked its third anniversary with a grand celebration, and founder Nita Mukesh Ambani made an unforgettable entrance on the pink carpet. Her ensemble beautifully embodied the centre's ethos, fusing heritage craftsmanship with modern design, as she took center stage at the event.
Nita Ambani’s look was a work of art, symbolizing India's cultural richness while maintaining a contemporary flair. At the heart of her outfit was a custom molten gold silk saree, which shimmered with a luminous, almost liquid-like sheen under the event lights. The saree's intricate zari work and paisley motifs, set against the dynamic interplay of metallic gold and deep crimson undertones, showcased a seamless fusion of traditional and modern elements. The traditional Nivi drape, combined with a tailored maroon-gold blouse, enhanced the look’s sophistication, adhering to a monochromatic palette that evoked timeless elegance.
Jewelry played a crucial role in elevating her ensemble. Nita Ambani wore a layered necklace adorned with vibrant emeralds and rubies, which took center stage. Matching jhumkas, gold bangles, and a statement ring completed the regal look. Her hairstyle—sleek, center-parted, and adorned with a gajra of white flowers—added a soft, traditional touch to her polished appearance. Her makeup remained understated, with kohl-defined eyes and a natural lip shade, further complemented by her signature red bindi.
In her speech, Nita Ambani drew connections between the cultural significance of the number three, referencing India’s Trimurti and Triveni. "When we started the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre, we made a promise to bring the best of India to the world and the best of the world to India," she stated, underscoring the center’s mission to spotlight Indian artists on a global stage.
Ranveer Singh, in a video shared by the NMACC, praised the center as a "gold standard" for performing arts infrastructure. He emphasized how the NMACC has transformed the landscape for artists in India, noting that it is "nothing short of extraordinary." He expressed his pride in the center’s creation, calling it a milestone for the performing arts fraternity in India. "I have to commend Nita Ambani for her unwavering commitment to empowering and uplifting the cultural arts, not just for our people but for the entire world," he said.
The NMACC, a first-of-its-kind, multi-disciplinary cultural space, continues to uphold Nita Mukesh Ambani's vision of preserving and promoting India's rich art, culture, and heritage through diverse art forms. As the anniversary celebration unfolded, it was clear that NMACC is on its way to becoming a beacon of cultural excellence, both in India and globally.
