Bhubaneswar, April 2: Morning classes will be commenced in Odisha schools till the summer vacation.
The School & Mass Education Department, Government of Odisha issued a notification in this connection on Thursday.
In view of the rising heatwave conditions, the School and Mass Education Department announced a revision in school timings across the state.
The new schedule will be effective from April 2 until the commencement of summer vacation.
As per the official order, all educational institutions, including government, aided and private schools will operate from 6:30 AM to 10:30 AM during this period.
Apart from it, the department issued a set of guidelines to ensure the safety and well-being of students amid the heatwave including adequate provision of drinking water, ORS packets and other essentials on the campus.
