Baripada, Ap 22: A school teacher from Baripada, Jyotsna Sahu, who had been missing for several days, was safely traced and rescued on Tuesday, bringing relief to her family and authorities.
According to reports, Jyotsna went out on census duty on the 18th but did not return, sparking concern among her family and colleagues. As days passed without any contact, the Sadar police station in Baripada launched a search operation after receiving information about her disappearance.
Jyotsna was eventually found sitting at Balasore railway station, where she had reportedly stayed for three days. A special squad located her and ensured her safe rescue, after which Baripada police escorted her back home.
Upon being rescued, Jyotsna revealed that she had been under significant pressure due to census-related work, which may have contributed to her sudden disappearance. Authorities are now investigating the circumstances that led her to remain at the station for an extended period.
