Cuttack, June 23: A man lost his life after a Hyva truck rammed into a car on Trisulia Bridge in Odisha's Cuttack district on Tuesday morning.

According to reports, the accident occurred when the truck collided with the car, causing extensive damage to the vehicle. The impact was so severe that the car driver died on the spot.

Soon after the accident, the truck driver reportedly fled the scene. The identity of the deceased had not been established at the time of filing this report.

On receiving information, personnel from Baranga Police Station rushed to the spot and seized the Hyva truck involved in the mishap. The body was recovered for further legal procedures.

Police have launched an investigation to ascertain the exact cause of the accident and are making efforts to trace the absconding truck driver. Further details are awaited.
