Keonjhar, Sept 16: In a gruesome incident, a man allegedly beat his wife to death following a heated argument over some issue in Nayakote area of Odisha’s Keonjhar district.
The deceased woman has been identified as Mili Munda and the incident has been reported from Kadadiha village under Nayakote police limits in the district.
As per reports, a heated argument ensued between the accused, identified as Babulal Munda, and his wife Mili over some issue. It later escalated and took a violent turn when Babulal, in fit of rage, thrashed Mili mercilessly with a stick leading to her death on the spot.
Upon getting the information, police arrived at the scene and seized the body. Subsequently, it was sent for post-mortem. The cops have detained Babulal for interrogation in connection with the murder.
Further investigation into the matter is underway.
