Athagarh, Mar 30: The Excise Department conducted a major crackdown in Koranga village and nearby Kaju forest under Athagarh police station limits, seizing and destroying a substantial quantity of illicit liquor.

During the operation, 2,625 litres of country-made liquor and 17,185 litres of sugarcane-based brew prepared for illegal distillation were confiscated.

The seized alcohol and associated materials were destroyed at the site by the department.

Following the raid, four cases have been registered in connection with the incident.
