Angul, May 31: A giant King Cobra was rescued from Odisha Adarsha Vidyalaya (OAV) Thakurgarh Campus in Angul on Sunday.

After co-ordinated operation by trained snake helpliners the reptile was released in the Thakurgarh forest.

According to report, amid the summer vacation an OAV official discovered a 7-feet king cobra in a classroom. It was resting under a bed.

Following this, the school authorities informed the snake helpline for help. Two members of the snake helpline reached the spot and captured the reptile carefully. Subsequently, it was released in the deep forest nearby as per law.

Following the incident, massive precautions were taken in & around the campus, to keep reptiles at bay.
