Chandaneswar, Ap 13: The world-famous Chandaneswar Chadaka festival concluded today with the observance of the final Arghya and the Pat festival. On the last day, the number of devotees, including Upavita-dhari (sacred thread-wearing) followers and ordinary pilgrims, exceeded 4 lakh.

The festival saw an unexpected surge in crowd as today marked the special Pat observance dedicated to Baba Chandaneswar. For security reasons, the police administration had made separate arrangements to manage the large crowd.

During the Pat festival, Upavita-dhari devotees perform the ritual of piercing their bodies as an offering to Baba Chandaneswar, concluding their vows by offering garlands of sandalwood and completing their spiritual observances.

In the afternoon, a grand procession from Hakanda Pokhari began and will culminate near the temple, bringing the festival to a close with cultural and religious fervor.
