New Delhi, July 18:Newly appointed Delhi Police Commissioner Anurag Kumar on Saturday issued a stern warning against corruption during his first high-level meeting with senior officers, stressing that the force must remain corruption-free and maintain public trust.
Addressing officers of the rank of Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) and above, Kumar said there would be zero tolerance for corruption and directed officers to ensure transparency, accountability and professionalism in policing.
He warned that strict action would be taken against any personnel found involved in corrupt practices or facing credible graft allegations.
The anti-corruption message came a day after the Ministry of Home Affairs appointed the 1994-batch AGMUT cadre IPS officer as Delhi Police Commissioner, replacing Satish Golcha, who has been directed to report to the Delhi Lieutenant Governor for further posting.
