Bhubaneswar, May 5: Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi will embark on a three-day visit to Gujarat from May 5 to 7, covering four key cities to attract industrialists and investors to Odisha.
A major investors’ roadshow is scheduled in Ahmedabad on May 5. The programme will include roundtable discussions with leading industry players and one-to-one meetings, aimed at fast-tracking investments, signing Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs), and securing investment intents.
The state government will highlight opportunities in high-growth sectors such as textiles and apparel, chemicals and petrochemicals, metals and downstream industries, and pharmaceuticals and medical devices. The initiative seeks to draw investments from western India and further strengthen Odisha’s industrial ecosystem.
As part of the visit, the delegation will tour Mundra Port on May 6 to explore prospects in port-led development, logistics, and allied industries. Investor meetings are also scheduled in Vadodara on May 7, followed by an official visit to Kevadia to deepen industrial engagement.
The high-level delegation will include Industries, Skill Development and Technical Education Minister Sampad Chandra Swain along with senior government officials.
Ahead of the visit, the Chief Minister said Odisha’s strong infrastructure and skilled workforce have made it an emerging investment destination. He expressed confidence that the Gujarat outreach will boost investment inflow, generate employment, and contribute to the state’s vision of becoming a prosperous economy by 2036.
