CHSE Odisha wraps up +2 exams; results expected in May

Bhubaneswar, March 28: The Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE), Odisha, on Saturday wrapped up the annual Plus II examinations.

The Odisha Plus II exam results are likely to be declared by May 12, officials said.

This year, 4,01,623 students registered for the exams across Arts, Science, Commerce, and Vocational streams. Out of them, 3,96,592 candidates appeared, while around 5,031 students were absent, according to the CHSE Controller of Examinations.

The evaluation of answer sheets is scheduled to begin on April 2 and will take place in two phases — from April 2 to April 13 and from April 15 to April 28. The process will be carried out through a combination of offline and online methods, said official sources.

Approximately 16,000 teachers will participate in the evaluation work, with 8,000 teachers assigned to each phase. To facilitate the process, 151 evaluation centres will be set up across the state, handling nearly 25 lakh answer scripts.

Officials have assured that all evaluation centres will have strict security measures in place. In view of the prevailing heat, arrangements such as drinking water and other basic amenities will be provided for teachers.

A senior CHSE official stated that the board is targeting completion of the evaluation process by the end of April and plans to announce the results within 40 to 45 days.
