Bhubaneswar, April 3: The Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE) has commenced the evaluation of Plus II examination answer sheets across the state.
In the first phase, evaluation is underway at 151 centres with the engagement of 8,258 teachers. On the opening day, each examiner assessed five answer scripts, informed a senior CHSE official.
According to official data, a total of 3,96,592 students appeared for the examinations this year. The evaluation process will be conducted in two phases, covering nearly 25 lakh answer sheets, with 16,494 teachers deployed in total.
The evaluation is being carried out in both online and offline modes. In the first phase, which will continue till April 13, online evaluation is being conducted at 75 centres with 3,574 teachers, while offline evaluation is taking place at 76 centres involving 4,684 teachers.
The second phase of evaluation is scheduled from April 15 to April 26. During this phase, 4,178 teachers will carry out online evaluation at 75 centres, while 4,058 teachers will be engaged in offline evaluation at 76 centres, CHSE sources said.
