Bhubaneswar, April 3: Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Friday completed his self-enumeration online as part of the first phase of the Census 2027 and urged all to do the same and participate in the exercise to ensure every household is counted in the Census.
The Chief Minister enumerates himself in the presence of Director of Census Operations (DCO) Nikhil Pawan Kalyan.
Taking to ‘X’, the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) said that the CM has urged the citizens to self-enumerate themselves by visiting se.census.gov.in.
The self-enumeration facility for Census 2027 was rolled out in Odisha officially on April 1 with Governor Dr Hari Babu Kambhampati, as the first citizen of the State, enumerating himself digitally at Lok Bhavan. Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) Mayor Sulochana Das and Chief Secretary Anu Garg also joined the digital exercise on the first day on April 1.
Prior to the household data collection, the provision for self-enumeration was made available online from April 1 (Wednesday) and it will continue till the midnight of April 15. Through the self-enumeration portal (https:e.census.gov.in/), citizens can submit their own information.
The first phase of the census house listing operations will commence across all 30 districts of Odisha on April 16 and will continue till May 15.
Over 1 lakh trained enumerators and 17,282 supervisors has been engaged by the Director of Census Operations to visit households and collect data during the one-month period.
The second phase, or the primary population enumeration phase, will be carried out from February 9 to February 28, 2027, as per the schedule.
