Balasore, July 14: The bodies of fishermen who died in the Bay of Bengal trawler capsize will undergo post-mortem examinations before being handed over to their families. Authorities have decided to conduct DNA tests as the bodies are difficult to identify due to their condition. The mortal remains will be released only after the DNA reports, expected within seven days, are received, the District Collector said.
Meanwhile, an Odisha administrative team has reached Kakdwip in West Bengal following the Collector's directions. The team held discussions with the West Bengal administration to coordinate rescue, identification and other necessary procedures.
