Mumbai, Jul 3: Actor Aamir Khan has confirmed that he will marry longtime partner Gauri Spratt on July 5 in a private ceremony at his residence, describing it as a "homely wedding" attended only by family members and close friends.
Speaking to the media during the screening of filmmaker Rajkumar Hirani's Pritam and Pedro series, Aamir said the wedding would be a small and intimate affair.
"The wedding is on July 5. We are hosting it at home. It is a very small ceremony and a very special day for us. Both families and a few close friends will be present," Aamir said. He also sought blessings from fans and the media, expressing hope for a happy and fulfilling journey together.
Who is Gauri Spratt?βββββββ
Originally from Bengaluru, Gauri Spratt has spent most of her life in the city. According to her LinkedIn profile, she studied at Blue Mountains School before pursuing an FDA Styling & Photography course at the University of the Arts London in 2004.
She currently runs a BBlunt salon in Mumbai and is reportedly the mother of a seven-year-old child. She is also the daughter of Rita Spratt, who owned a salon in Bengaluru.
Aamir's previous marriages
Aamir first married his childhood sweetheart Reena Dutta in 1986 in a private ceremony. The couple have two children-Junaid Khan and Ira Khan-before ending their marriage in 2002 after 16 years together.
In 2005, Aamir married filmmaker Kiran Rao, whom he met during the making of the film Lagaan. The couple separated in 2021 but continue to co-parent their son, Azad Rao Khan, who was born through surrogacy.
'I Feel Complete'
In a recent interview, Aamir spoke warmly about his relationship with Gauri, saying she has brought peace and happiness into his life.
He said that while his previous relationships with Reena Dutta and Kiran Rao were meaningful, he feels fortunate that Gauri entered his life. Describing their bond, Aamir said he feels "complete" and added that the couple have been happily together for more than two years.
Aamir had introduced Gauri to the media on his 60th birthday last year. Their children are expected to attend the wedding, which the actor says will remain a simple family celebration centered on love, togetherness and blessings from well-wishers.
