Talcher, Mar 31: The much-awaited nine-day Yatra of Maa Hingula commenced today at the Gopal Prasad Peetha in Talcher. Maa Hingula, worshipped in the form of fire, is the presiding deity of the Shrimandir Rosh Ghara. Devotees believe that witnessing her divine form brings relief from ailments, sorrows, and hardships, and fulfills heartfelt wishes.
Every year, Maa Hingula leaves the main Shrimandir to visit this Peeth, where she blesses thousands of devotees who travel from across the state for her darshan. The Yatra, celebrated with great devotion and rituals, has already drawn large crowds eager to catch a glimpse of the deity in her fiery form.
