​​​​​​​Bhubaneswar, Oct 24: The Home Department, Government of Odisha on Friday approved direct recruitment of 4,219 constables for the Odisha Police.

The Home Department has issued a letter to the DGP in this connection.

According to the letter, the State Police Headquarters in Cuttack will fill up as many as 4,219 post of Contable with due recruitment process.

All procedures and norms prescribed in the recruitment rules should be strictly followed adhering to the state’s reservation policy and the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) issued by the General Administration and Public Grievance Department on 22 September 2025, the letter said.
