Puri, Mar 10: Frequent disruptions in the daily rituals of Mahaprabhu at the Shree Jagannath Temple have raised concerns, prompting the temple administration to take immediate action. To address the issue and restore discipline in the conduct of rituals, a crucial meeting has been scheduled for Wednesday (11th).

The meeting will be held at the temple office under the chairmanship of the newly appointed Ritual (Niti) Administrator. Members of the temple managing committee, senior servitors, and officials directly associated with temple administration are expected to participate. Discussions will focus on ensuring that Mahaprabhu’s rituals are performed in a timely and disciplined manner without negligence.

According to reports, delays were also witnessed on Monday morning during the Sada Besha ritual of the deities. Although the Palia Singharī servitor was present near the deity, other required servitors and staff did not arrive on time, leading to a delay in the ritual.

Earlier, during Govinda Dwadashi, the rituals were reportedly delayed by more than four hours due to a lack of cooperation from Khuntia servitors. While the temple administration has taken certain measures following the incident, officials believe further discussions are necessary to prevent such disruptions in the future.

Around 30 participants have been invited to the meeting. However, sources claim that representatives from some key servitor communities have not been included. Senior servitors argue that those directly responsible for the deity’s daily rituals—particularly the Palia servitors—should be part of the discussions. They warn that without their participation, repeated meetings may fail to bring meaningful results.
